My grandmother passed away on March 8,2010 at the age of 87. The family members who organized the funeral decided not to publish an obituary for her, so I have decided to do the next best thing and write one here...
FRAZER,Christina - Christina Frazer passed away on March 8, 2010 at the Mt St Mary care home in Victoria,BC at the age of 87. She is predeceased by her husband, Ernest Frazer, and her son, Gary Frazer, and survived by her children, Sharon Bird, Donald (Deirdre) Frazer, Dianne Frazer, Linda (Dean) Wheaton, Teresa Boutet, and Karen (Will) Schoemaker, and thirteen grandchildren. Christina was born on August 1, 1922 in Vonda, Saskatchewan to Joseph and Pearl Remanda. In December 1946 she married Ernest Frazer, who had just returned from serving in the RCAF during WWII. They farmed near Ridgedale, Saskatchewan, until moving to Victoria,BC in 1956 when Ernie started work at the sawmill. Together they would raise seven children, and would have thirteen grandchildren. In June 2007 Christina entered the Mt St Mary care home as her health was failing, and was happy there up to the end.
Following a private service, she will be buried at the Royal Oak Burial Park on March 19,2010.
