July 28, 2015 - At times it seems as though the silliness will never end - I have just learned that someone is using my identity online, with the e-mail address omphalopsychite@zohosite.com. (Let them get the spam from my posting of their address :) ) I assure you that it is not me, and please do not support this person by sending them messages meant for me.
July 26, 2015 - Never one to be out of the technology loop for more than a few years, I have finally signed up for Instagram. I doubt I will use it very much, but anyone who is interested can follow me here.
July 7, 2015 - I want to pass on a warning to friends and family that there is a new scam going around. Someone I know found an ATM in a bank setup to receive deposits to someone else's bank account. I have talked with other people since who have had the same thing happen. A person leaves their bank card (for an empty account) in the machine, at the point where the next user can select "Deposit". If the next user isn't quite paying attention, they forget that they haven't put their card in and deposit their cheque to someone else's account. It seems like a crude scam, but apparently it is catching a few elderly people.

June 5, 2015 - I have also had a few old classmates ask if I knew anything about an Esquimalt High School / Esquimalt Secondary School class reunion this year. As yet I haven't heard anything, but if anyone knows anything let me know on Facebook or through my Contact Me page, and I will pass it along.

May 24, 2015 - Perhaps it is the lack of sleep, but I did enjoy this article on the current war on science (and information in general) in Canada. Science is about the free exchange of information, not public relations and spin.
May 24, 2015 - It is 2:00am and I am looking at another five hours of work to remove a nasty computer virus :(. That will teach me to be fully awake in the morning before hitting OK on a software update notification...
