January 29, 2012 - For those who have asked (or at least noticed) that my profile photo and hit counter sometimes disappear on this site, the explanation is that they are hosted by a separate server that has better features and support for more advanced widgets, but is also unreliable. But bide your time and the widgets on my page shall return shortly.
January 25, 2012 - Happy Burn's Day!! A day to celebrate the fine cuisine of Scotland, and revel in the melodious sound of the pipes. (And the only day of the year when I can play my bagpipes and claim it as my ancestral right!)
January 23, 2012 - Further proof that on rare occasions I do get a bit of good luck. As I was driving into the mechanics shop, my fan belt gave out and the alternator belt was about the give out. Had it happened a few minutes earlier I would have been getting it towed. (In fairness though, real good luck would be not having it break at all!)
January 19, 2012 - In response to a steadily diminishing number of requests, I have posted some photos of the snowstorm. I know how the rest of the country loves to laugh at the wimpy westcoasters who panic at a dusting of snow :)
January 18, 2012 - As part of a global protest against internet censorship, I will be taking down my websites for the remainder of the day. They will return tomorrow morning.
January 17, 2012 - Once again the hill upon which I reside is a sheet of ice, and the forecast is for another 15-25cm of snow tonight. Therefore all tutoring and consulting appointments will be rescheduled for everyone's safety. (eTutoring sessions are not affected though)
January 16, 2012 - It is snowing hard outside my office window right now. The prediction is for 4" of snow over the next day, which for Victoria means a major crisis!

December 18, 2011 - With the end of exams for this term and the remainder of my work for the year complete, I can now relax and enjoy the holidays. Anyone who needs to contact me professionally should now wait until the new year.
