March 16, 2020 - Another update on my surgery for those who are interested. The surgeon had promised that it would be in January or February, or at the latest March. Today it was announced that all surgeries are being postponed indefinitely due to COVID-19, and there is no information on when I might actually get my surgery that is already five months overdue. I have been told that it is more dangerous if the two surgeries are more than seven months apart, and now it looks like I won't get mine for at least thirteen months...

March 14, 2020 - An update on my websites today, which were hacked in October and have been down since then. I gave up on the support staff at IslandHosting being able to repair the damaged websites, and so I have started rewriting them myself. At this time the sites http://physics.drchrisbird.net and http://robotics.drchrisbird.net are functioning, with the rest to follow soon. I will keep you posted as I have more news.

February 9, 2020 - I've had a few people asking about my other websites, and their continued disabled status. Unfortunately my webhost, IslandHosting, has still been unable to resolve this problem in spite of working on it for over four months now. They still can't give me an estimate on when they might figure out why my websites have gone down, or why (and who) brought them down. I will continue to give updates as I receive them.

January 15, 2020 - Thank you to everyone who has cared enough to ask how my surgery is going/went, but I regret to say that it hasn't happened yet. It was originally suppose to be September, then got bumped to October, then bumped to January, and now the surgeon's office is hoping for March or April. Thus is the nature of an overcrowded and underfunded healthcare system. Personally I am ready to just do it myself in the hospital parking lot :)
