Once again, this is an entry that is of very little interest to anyone except me, but it is my blog so I will write it anyway ;)
I was just thinking of how many anniversaries all fall into this month, just through random chance. So I thought I would take a moment and commemorate all of them at once...
- April 4: The 100th anniversary of my great grandparents anniversary. David Thomson had come to Victoria,BC from Scotland and was working as a postal sorter, and Lizzie Moyes had come here from Scotland to attend her brother's wedding. He intercepted a postcard sent to her, called on her, and soon after they were married and honeymooning on Hornby Island.
- April 6: The 65th anniversary of David Thomson's death.
- April 10: My father's 70th birthday, if he were alive.
- April 22: The 5th anniversary of my father's death.
- April 22: The 110th anniversary of my great-great-grandfather's death. (Ebeneezer Moyes, father of Lizzie Moyes) He had the same symptoms on the same dates as my father did 105 years later, and died on the exact same day. They were also born exactly 100 years apart (although the exact date of his birth is unknown)
