August 16, 2014 - I have finally got around to posting a few photos of my trip to the island at this page. Unfortunately I don't have any spectacular astrophotography to share this time, but I may go back later in the year for another attempt if time permits.

August 14, 2014 - I am back from my journeys now, and it was a mixed fortune trip. All of my necessary chores were completely easily, but the clouds and storms prevented me from completing any serious astrophotography. 

August 8, 2014 - Last day before I can go camping, and still a lot of work to complete before I go. But at least most of it is enjoyable work, so it 

shouldn't be too hard to get through it. 

July 20, 2014 - In answer to those who were wondering where I was over the last few days, I had some errands on the central island area and while I was there I popped over to my parent's cabin for the night. I didn't get any major work done, but I did take inventory of what needs to be done on my next trip in about a month. Ocean storms are brutal!

July 10, 2014 - Some people can be so cruel. I just discovered several of my prized bonsai trees have been busted up with a large rock. There was no way it could have fallen from above, so it has to be done by vandals. What did the poor little trees ever do to them?

July 4, 2014 - Nothing is ever simple. My mother's home needed a small hole in the roof repaired. That expanded into the entire side of the roof needing to be redone, and then a second side was found to be lacking as well. Now we find that the chimney is decaying, and needs to be recapped and repaired. All because of a little tiny hole.

July 2, 2014 -  I finally bought a new cell phone and joined the correct decade - however my number remains the same so no one has to update address books or such. 

June 20, 2014 - Congratulations to all of my former tutorial students who are graduating this year! Great work guys, and all the best in the future.

April 5, 2014 - Today is National Caregiving Day, a day when we appreciate the hard work of caregivers. I should say something positive here, but after my ten year ordeal with my parent's care, and losing my dream career and everything else I valued in my life, and having no help at all from a hospital system that more often than not lied outright to me, I just don't have the energy to be positive about caregiving anymore. All I can say is, if you are ever asked to be a caregiver for someone - RUN AWAY!! 

March 22, 2014 - And my poor old truck has had more trouble. This time the battery and alternator both gave out simultaneously :(

March 17, 2014 - HAPPY ST PATRICK'S DAY!!
