December 16, 2014 - B.C. Hydro has now set a date for the power outage, and it is December 23. They say that power will be out for six to seven hours on that day, so I am going to have to reschedule many of my Christmas plans. So if you don't hear from me on that day, that is the reason.
December 2, 2014 - I have just been notified by BC Hydro that my holly bush has to be cut back in order to replace the utility pole. So anyone in the neighbourhood who would like a clipping before it goes, either for Christmas decorating or for planting, feel free to come over and take what you need.
November 27, 2014 - Happy Thanksgiving to all of my American friends and family. I hope you are all able to enjoy the day with those you truly love, even if it is just yourselves!
November 22, 2014 - With the Christmas shopping season starting, I thought I would add a shameless plug for my zazzle store. I plan to expand it in the future to include nerdy stuff, but for the moment it is just artwork and photographs on various items. But they make great Christmas gifts :)

Please take a moment to review each candidate and what they stand for, and then get out and make an informed decision.

November 6, 2014 - Just to let you all know, one of my websites (The Grandiloquent Dictionary), my mother's email account, and several of my widgets were down for most of the day due to a DDOS attack on the ISP. They are back up now, and I apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused.

October 26, 2014 - With the arrival of Halloween next week, I have once again had inquiries into my pumpkin artwork and photography. For those who are interested, two great sources of patterns and templates are Zombie Pumpkins and PumpkinGlow. I have had a lot of success in past years with their designs (interested viewers can see my own artwork from 2001-2005,2005-2011, and 2012-2013. Some, but not all, of these are based on Zombie designs).
October 18, 2014 - I apologize to those who have tried to contact me this week for not responding right away. I only get ill for a few days every few years, but this week was it. I awoke Monday morning with a nasty illness, and I am just back at my office today. I will try to get through the backlog of correspondences as soon as possible.
